Summer holidays in Lofer in the Saalachtal valley
The Salzburg Saalachtal valley has many activities in the summer! A hiking holiday in Lofer is particularly popular – because the “Almenwelt Lofer” is one of the most beautiful hiking regions in Austria!
All hiking trails are signposted and lead you through the pristine natural landscape. We can recommend routes for ambitious mountaineers that lead up to the Loferer Steinberge, Reither Steinberge and Leoganger Steinberge mountains, and there are plenty of via ferratas to master.
The mountain routes to the Schmidt Zabierow Hütte, to the Traunsteiner Hütte and Ingolstädter Haus huts are particularly lovely. Nearly all hiking and walking trails can also be explored by mountain bike! The Pinzgau cycling route runs right by our house.
